I had dreamed of going to Africa on a long trip where I would have the time to know a place and know it well. Sometimes, when God is generous, daydreams do become reality. My travels took me to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Zanzibar.
I went to Africa to work. Finding myself and falling in love were not items on the agenda. Those were the stuff of daydreams, borne of long, icy Canadian winters. At age 30, I felt I already knew my priorities, talents and limitations. The year in Africa forced me to question all of these assumptions.

I really enjoyed this young woman's tale of love and adventure in Africa. The only downside was that she did not take the time to proofread the book before publication. It is full of awkward, incomplete sentences with missing words. This made it very hard to get through.Product details
